Did you update the firmware for Win 7 64? if so, did you remember to install with Higher Admin rights? Are you dual booting by any chance?

Open Setpoint and do the following,

and set things up the way you want. Not sure what a setting is click on the Help button, it has a fairly extensive help file.

Like stormy said, play with the options, create a profile and stick with it... that's how I had my G7 and now my G9.

It gets a bit complex and annoying to make different profiles for different games. For the most part, the console ported games don't have options for all the buttons on the mouse so, you'll be hard press binding those buttons, might as well use letter to bind each button.

    Example

    Mouse button #4 = P
    Mouse Button #5 = L
    Mouse Button #6 = M
    Mouse Button #7 = N

or something similar then on each game you bind those letter to what you want and then you know what each mouse button will do.

I'm not sure if you're using multiple versions of Set Point, but here's a tip if you are. When installing multiple versions of Setpoint for a mouse and keyboard, you need to installed the oldest version first and then install the newer one. You would think that all versions of Setpoint would support all devices that use the software, but in order to save space Logitech hasn't done this, or atleast didn't used to. Therefore, you'll want to check to see what the version numbers of each Setpoint installation is beforehand and make sure to install the older one first.

Once you have Setpoint installed, you can program your mouse and keyboard. For more information on how to used Setpoint, check out the support pages on the logitech website.
