    directx(r) and win 32

I am trying to install flight simulator x gold edition and it tells me that I need to have directx(r). When I downloaded this from the microsoft site it came up with not valid win 32. What directx(r) do I need to download to get my game working.

Welcome to Seven Forums tubby. You already have DirectX11, and only 9 or higher is required for that program. Make sure direct X is enabled in your graphics card control panel. You should fill in your system specs in the user CP here so we know what your system is.

    Hi tubby

Go to your start-orb>in the search box>type "dxdiag" (without the quotes)>from the popup window (DirectX Diagnotstic Tool)>select save all information>save to your desktop (should be a text file)>post back here and attach the file with your post (should read dxdiag.txt)

    Hi tubby

Thanks for the upload. now to the issue:

    1. Download and install FSX SP2 from here and install it, if your version of the software does not include the update
    2. download the latest driver for your video card from here and install it
    3. Download and install Microsoft DirectX(June 2010) from here
    4. Try running the game when all the above have been completed

Post back here if you are still having any issues with the game :)

    Regards

Thanks for all your help. Downloaded the three things suggested and then uninstalled the flight simulator that I had put in. Shut the computer down then installed it again and bingo it worked. Thanks again we appreciate it.
