    links in games


    i try out a new site name STEAM and bought a game COGS; while i had the link on my desktop the game play ok, but i copy the link to games and it did not do any thing, not even the menus, i did not hear from steam so i uninstall the game,but the site continue to come up on when i start my pc, so i delete every thing from that site;but now i have this link in my games window. can some one tell me how to get read off it

    do you want to uninstall steam?

    control panel >> bottom left is 'uninstall a program'.

    find steam in the list, and uninstall it.

    done that an all the files that were left over, and even in the game window where the links are, but they are still in games

    ok - try out this tutorial.

    it's a bit complicated - i don't know why microsoft can't make it easier to delete a shortcut!

    i'm looking at a thread on "steal links in game library" it says something about a registry key, so i run CC cleaners registry cleaner but they are still there

    ok - you can very easily 'hide' the icon, but that's not the same as deleting it.


    it's still a minor mystery to me why microsoft won't let us delete shortcuts...

    but thats just it!! i can not even hide it ; THE LINK IS DEAD AT THE CLICK IT TURNS BLUE AS IF IT WAS ACTIVE BUT IT HAS NO MENU SO I CAN'T HIDE IT
