Warcraft III hosting problem.
I realize the regulars on these forums get this kind of post all the time. "Why can't I host on battle.net," and I'm sure most are firewall or router issues. Well I think I have something a bit harder to fix.
I can host custom games on battle.net, but no one can join them. I'm behind a linksys router and comodo firewall, running on windows 7. I use to host all the time on Vista, while behind the same router with no issues as long as I set the ports to 6112 through 6119 or set the DMZ to match my TCP/IP.
I looked through a search on google of the problem. And tried the following (separately and together):
opened ports 6112 to 6119
Set my IP to the DMZ
Reset the router
Set BNUpdate to run in XP SP 3 compatibility mode.
Ran Warcraft III, itself, in XP SP 3 compatibility mode.
And disabled my router firewall (which never was a problem before)
Reset the modem
Reset my computer denying Comodo firewall start-up rights using MSconfig (so I know its not doing anything funny)
Disabled windows firewall, and it's service.
Disabled User account controls
And so thats where I am. The first three pages of my google search and no results. I know of nothing more that I am in control of that could be blocking me.
Any ideas or help is appreciated because at the moment it seems like Im out of luck.
