Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate etc.)

It seems that Windows 7 still shows the black box bug when running Baldur's Gate (and presumably other Infinity Engine games from the same era) on modern nVidia hardware. I was able to get it working fine with the latest fix that's going around:

IE games and NVidia Series 8 video cards - Spellhold Studios
    Downloads for jlanger's nvidia_ddraw_fix - GitHub

I've got Torment working Ok'ish apart from it's slow starting up and crashes closing down :)

I'm using the hi-res patch and the unofficial fixes etc, and the graphics are fine with an 8800GT.

The game is working, the demo movies look like ****, but I can't get the cheat console to come up- yes it is a cheesy complaint, but one I have none the less

I know cheating is bad but its so so good too

Same problem -- CTRL+SPACE just pauses/unpauses the game.
