    Dawn of war 2

    Hi,
i'm running dawn of war 2 on steam and the Windows 7 RC.
The game was working on xp but now I can't manage to install that damn "games for windows update".

So, i'm logging in with my windows live id and it says it needs to download my profile. After the download has finished, it says "a live update is available" (i'm in french so i don't know the exact traduction). I have no choice, I have to click on yes. The loading bar is going at the end and...nothing more happens.

    Thanks for the help

there might be a user account control popup being launched in order to install the live update. Ctrl-Tab and see.

I got the game running today !
Reading some posts in the fallout 3 topic :
    - Take ownership to the My games folder
    - Running the game in administrator mode
    - And maybe the recent DOW2 steam update

Dunno wich one made it to work, but it works !
That's my fallout 3 who doesn't run now...freezing while loading a new game.

    Hi,

I can't even install Dawn of War II. I got problems with steam. After installation ends, steam gets an update. But it stops after 33%. I try several times and sometimes it goes to 100%. Unfortunately I can't login then. Steam doesn't respond after i click 'login'.

What should I do, thx 4 help.

    Well everything works now.

If you got any problems with steam try reboot system after installation. Although installing of updates lasts about 1 hour ;xxxx it finally works fine.

Other issue is logging in to Windows Live on a game. It just doesn't work. No problems with logging on the site.

I installed Steam, Xlive, Games For Windows 3 and the game still didn't work ! But I found a way to play it and want to share it. I just searched on Google for "d3dx9_39" and found a .dll file that was missing.
