The Kinect is being shown off, and you are allowed to play it, today at the Hard Rock Hotel across from the Convention Center in Downtown. You do not need a ComicCon badge to get in.

Also, free food.

I'm heading down there for the game tourney at 5.

I did, after all, win the tournament

Kudos to MS...it was a great experience. There were a ton of developers there, who were really cool. Also, there was an open bar, which I didn't know about until after the tournament, thankfully.

Hope they do something like this again next year.

Haha awesome, congrats! Glad to hear MS is sparing no expense promoting Kinect... they're actually sending me to PAX Prime as part of their PC gaming presence (I run the @WindowsGamer Twitter account) so that should be totally awesome.

Too bad they didn't send you to ComicCon. I have to say, the Xbox Lounge is quite an experience. Gonna go hang out there more today, maybe join another tournament.

How is the Kinect? I'm thinking of buying a 360 (the new model) as there's a few games that aren't on PC that I wanna play, and the console comes with a free Kinetic that you can redeem when it's released.

I had my doubts about it...but it's actually pretty amazing. Makes the Wii controllers look very obsolete. Microsoft has nothing to worry about from the Playstation Move, in my opinion.
