From an SP Campaigner, It pains me to see how more and more the devs are catering to the console masses and by this I mean the kids (17 and under), which translated, it means, give me "run & gun", make me look for stuff to buy better weapons and accessories for it instead of working hard to program a better ai and a longer/better Campaign.

But, on the other hand, I rather play CoD games than sucumb to the forever unoptimized and bad console ports that we get from Ubisoft games. When I see the marketing gurus wasting 10 million dollars on a live scene of a game that will not pass more than 2 months and 3 patches before they stop support, instead of paying the programmers to do a better job with the game and the porting for PC... it pains me deeply.

Now, being said that, I won't pre-order or support anybody until I see a demo of the game and I am satisfied that the game will at least give me a few good hours of play.

I applaud your enthusiasm but, when it comes to pc games as of late, life has told me to be patient... well, more so when it comes to Ubisoft games

I agree it won't kill me to wait a month or so to let the game iron out some bugs with some patches

I learned a valuable lesson from BF:BC2 being a bug filled, unoptimized release that still isn't completely fixed to this day so especially any new DICE games I may wait a year for them to patch up the game before I buy them

I thought Treyarch's CoD:WaW was a a solid game at release but my experience with BF:BC2 has made me leary of buying PC game/console ports when they are first released no matter who develops the game

Guys, it is your money, you will do what you will with it, I am just weary that all of this guys are cutting it real close with the games now a day, what with the excuse that they can patch it even as soon as the game comes out. That may or may not work at all so I just wait... I don't mind.

I look at it this way... I have already waited 2, 3 o 4 months for it (sometimes even more if there are delays), what is another month? I also believe that this (the waiting period) sends a message to the Publishers that people will not take lightly to the patching the game the same day or even later... I guess I am naive that way
