But I will admit it was rude for me to say that in the way I did and I apologize if I offended you in any way. I didn't sleep well last night and my morning coffee is wearing off. Dude, forget about the "all control panel items". you have something a lot better that Microsoft doesn't even want you to know about. Just to make sure, all you trying to get the control panel to show more items, or get it to show all the different icons, instead of categories?
I don't think there is a way to get rid of the previews completely, as they'd be necessary if you had more than one window of the same program open and both were minimized. Without you couldn't choose which to restore/maximize easily. Don't worry about turning off every new feature. You'd only be hurting yourself by doing so. Every Windows release from now on is going to have the majority of these features, or more complicated versions of them, so you might as well get used to a few of them.
