How can I make “tapping the mousepad (touchpad) to work as a click”?

I have a HP Entertainment PC laptop. It's Windows 7 (upgraded from Windows Vista). When I tap on the touchpad, it won't work as a click. It's so annoying that I have to use the button below the touchpad to click. Help me, please.

Did you install the touchpad drivers from HP? If so, you may have to play around with some settings for it in control panel. If yo did the upgrade isntall its supposed to keep all your drivers, but sometimes it doesn't retain all of them.
