You won't be able to "merge" into the front empty space but now have to move the primary to the front first. For that you will need to booted from a live cd in order to see that happen.

You can Partition Wizard. Paragon Partition Manager, GParted live for cd since that supports MS as well as Linux partitions, Easuess all free to download. Any with an iso can also be written to a bootable flash drive as well as burned to a cd-r.

Once the primary is moved you can expand it to fill in the empty drive space then seen at the rear of the drive. But you have to move it first since you can only expand in one direction towards the back of the drive.
