| | extend shut down timings hi all my very 1st thread and a simple one .... but i want to extend the timing of my laptop so that is doesn't shut down even while i am not using the system . the main purpose is to keep the downloading on( torrent download ) . I have seen this feature in control panel in other OS but i am not able to locate the same in windows 7 . Pls suggest . Thanks , Dvd. |

| | G'day,,, you can still reach Power Options via Control Panel - you may need to play with Viewing options to see the icon. But in the Windows 7 search, just type power... and it'll find Power Options. Then from there, you can set different Power Plans. Hope that helps somewhat... |
