You're very welcome...glad we got it fixed. Those of us who do the troubleshooting can all give examples and tories of things we've done in the past that we still laugh about.

Back in college, I built a new computer for a friend of mine, got it all assembled, Windows 98 loaded, and couldn't understand why it wasn't getting on the school's network. I uninstalled and reinstalled the NIC's drivers, made sure to reinstall TCP/IP, checked and rechecked settings. I couldn't figure it out. Turns out, I simply forgot to plug the other end of the ethernet cable into the wall jack.

I could swear that I looked for specs when this trend started, my error. Your correct that power supply is a top notch. Glad you got things working correctly. I understand hearing problems, got it here also. I must be going blind also. Sorry if I confused any body.

Hey, I've got more than enough confusion for everyone to share... :-)

You're correct - I didn't enter all the system specs until people asked me to do so, so your vision is fine!

High Pitch Sound
I'm getting a high pitch sound coming through my Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headsets. The sound does lower as I lower the main volume, but then I can't hear anything else. Currently, I'm plugged into the rear USB ports and I tried switching to different USBs, but nothing changes.

High pitch sound coming from computer.
There's this high pitch sound coming from my computer. You can hear it if you're within like 6 or 7 feet. I think it's coming from the cooling fan. The weird thing I noticed is that the sound goes away if my ethernet cable is not plugged in. Any ideas how to fix it?
