I have a HP Pavilion All in One MS230LA, it does not have VGA or Svideo output, so, my only option is the USB, so I need a USB To VGA adapter.
That's where I never understand the purchase of these all-in-one systems, unless you know you'll never need any extra displays or such. You bought basically a laptop on a stand, and now can't add in a video adapter like a normal desktop would. You're crippled either way, because you can't upgrade the internals, nor can you make it a portable system. If it was me, knowing I wanted to hook it up to an external monitor, I'd ditch the system and get a normal tower. Those all-in-ones weren't meant to be connected to another display...that's why the are usually over-priced, because you have the LCD built-in.

I know, my bad ... but overpriced? I wouldn't say that.
Anyway, when I bought it I though I'd just buy the USB to VGA adapter from Ebay (28 bucks), but then , oh surprise, non of them are Win 7 compatible.

I would. I looked into them as a kitchen computer, and decided against them for price alone. You pay extra to have the "convenience" of a self-contained computer. It is the same reason a laptop costs more than a desktop of the same specs.

Are you sure they aren't compatible? Have you tried getting the brand names and going to the manufacturer's website to check?

Yes, the manufacturer said it won't work for Win 7, but it will work with Vista.

Do you need USB to DVI? Or USB to VGA?

Here is one that has all: Amazon.com: Plugable USB 2.0 to VGA/DVI/HDMI Adapter for Multiple Monitors up to 1440x900 Each - DisplayLink DL-125: Electronics

and it has specified Win7 32x and 64x drivers

Have you tried installing it in Vista compatibility mode?? Compatibility mode allows a older program written for an earlier versions of Windows to possibly run in Windows 7. You can also use Compatibility mode to always have a program to Run as an administrator.

Chances are (not guaranteed) if it works in Vista, it will work in Windows 7.

Most LCDs are called monitors, especially if they have PC or HDMI inputs.
