    Hidden Icons

What are the 'hidden icons' in the Taskbar and/or on the Desktop? How can I make them visible?

Taskbar: The hidden icons are the ones you have to click the little triangle down by the clock to see. Right-click the Taskbar, left-click "Properties" and go to "Customize" to...uh...customize them.

On the Desktop, you'll have a few System File icons hidden. Best to leave them that way, in my opinion. If you really can't resist, open Windows Explorer>>Tools>>Folder Options>>View and mess around with the check boxes beginning with the word "Hide".

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium and can't find the triangle near the clock that you refer to.

Makes the puny little snip I made look to be not worth posting.

You ALL have been very helpful. I think I now have enough information to proceed. Thank you very much (and I agree with thelast post). You never know exactly what will turn out to be a gold nugget - exactly what the OP was looking for - or the last piece of a puzzle that is essential.
