grouped taskbar buttons switch places
When programs are grouped on my Winows 7 taskbar, sometimes the grouped program titles switch places "at random". This is especially annoying with programs that don't update their title bar with a file or project name, so the only clue I have to which window is which is their position in the group.
You say, "just look at the window preview", but I place my taskbar on the right edge of the screen and disable Aero for several reasons, including animations that can't be disabled and the obnoxious "glow" on window buttons (even in "Windows 7 Basic", so I ended up being forced back to "classic" mode).
For those of you who have never seen the taskbar on the right or left screen edge, it gives the opportunity to see the window title, especially when the taskbar is made wider than the default. In other words, I'm not looking at icons, I'm looking at title bars.
One program with no file or project in its title bar is SQL Server Management Studio. I have submitted a "Microsoft Connect" item about that problem, but in the meantime I try to use the position within the group...
until the grouped items are switched about by Windows 7.
How can I stop grouped items from moving about within the group? Or should this simply be submitted as a bug?
Windows 7 - it wasn't my idea!
