BSOD ????

    If I had to guess, I would say that 95% of the BSOD's I've had were caused by me, as WYSIWYG said. And, there were times when I just knew that it was going to happen because of my impatience, or dumbness, or whatever.

    The only ones I have had with Vista or W7 were caused by a corrupted True-Crypt file. Had to have a couple of them before I figured out what was causing it.

    The last BSOD I've experienced myself was back on Vista x64: STOP 0x124, and that was a long time ago, and was in fact the very problem that prompted me to join the Vista Forums, and then later SevenForums.

    Didn't even get a hiccup in Windows 7 BETA!

    But as far BSODs go, I encounter them on an almost weekly basis on customer computers - usually right after they thought they could save a bit of money by having a backyard techie work on their computers...
