My Aero features are disabled! Help! So when I upgraded from Vista to 7 Home Premium (32 bit), I went in and disabled all of the new Aero features (Snap, Shake, Peek, etc). That was over a year ago. How do I re-enable these? I've read tutorials, went into Ease of Access and changed the mouse/visual settings, changed Registry settings, etc, but they simply won't re-enable. | My System Specs |

Maybe you can try this:
1. Open System Properties, click Advanced system settings, under Performance section click Settings.
2. On the Visual Effects tab, select Let windows choose what's best for my computer, click > OK > OK.
3. Right-click on desktop, select Personalize. Under Aero Themes, select theme " Windows 7", and then see if your PC can display Aero effects again . | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus Notebook F80L Series OS Windows 7 Professional (x86) CPU Intel Core2 Duo T5750 @ 2.00 GHz Motherboard Asus Notebook F80L Memory 2x 1GB DDR2-SDRAM @ 667 MHz (dual channel) Graphics Card Intel GMA X3100 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Generic 14.1" Notebook LCD Screen Resolution 1280x800 Keyboard Generic Notebook keyboard Mouse Synaptic Touchpad Hard Drives Hitachi 160 GB SATA 1.5 Gbps hard disk drive |

Aero itself works, it's the tiny features that no longer work, like Snap. I tried the "let Windows decide" thing, and it didn't work. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53Ghz Motherboard ECS G31T-M Memory 2GB DDR2-800 Super*Talent RAM Graphics Card ATI 3870HD Monitor(s) Displays 19" Hanns-G 1440x900 LCD w/5ms response Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s |

I've been through control panel and followed the tutorial, in to registry etc, and I cannot get Aero Snap to work.
I posted about it on a recent thread ie a couple of days ago but got no replies.
This had been a problem since the beginning. I had a thread on it about a year ago but it died on the vine.
I can live without this feature but it's annoyiing not knowing why it doesn't work | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number The Monolith. 3.1 OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit CPU i7 2700K@4.5GHz Motherboard Gigabyte Z77-D3H Memory 2x4GB Corsair Vegeance DDR3 Graphics Card XFX GTX 260 Black Edition Sound Card none-through large stereo hi fi Monitor(s) Displays Croosover 27MDP LED IPS Dell 2408 WFP Screen Resolution 2560x1440 1920x1200 Keyboard Enermax Aurora Mouse Logitech Ballmouse PSU Corsair AX 850 Watt Case Cooler Master ACTS 840 Cooling Be Quiet! Tried all of those fixes, none of them worked. I didn't care about having them, but I've played around with Aero features on my other PC, and now I'd like at least Snap to be enabled. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53Ghz Motherboard ECS G31T-M Memory 2GB DDR2-800 Super*Talent RAM Graphics Card ATI 3870HD Monitor(s) Displays 19" Hanns-G 1440x900 LCD w/5ms response Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s |

Thanks. At least Windows Key + Arrow lets Snap work. If you find a less drastic fix than the repair install, let me know. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53Ghz Motherboard ECS G31T-M Memory 2GB DDR2-800 Super*Talent RAM Graphics Card ATI 3870HD Monitor(s) Displays 19" Hanns-G 1440x900 LCD w/5ms response Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s |

I am curious to know if a repair install will fix it, but that is up to you.
