I have tried the various options for screenshot but nothing seems to happen!

Have you tried the Snipping Tool ?

Have you pressed the printscreen (or Alt+printscreen) button, opened MSPaint and pressed paste in the top left corner?

Or are you referring to the Snipping Tool?
