How do I change the setting to lock my PC when idle?

Hi Folks. Im a newbie here and a bit of a Windows 7 rookie
Does anyone know where I might the setting that allows my computer to need password access after it has been idle for a period of time? I use my office PC remotely quite a lot so therefore it must be left turned on in the office. At the moment the default seems to be set to never 'lock' of its own accord as it has been accessible this morning without a password.

I have tried looking in control panel but cannot find anything there (unless I am a real dumbo which is always a possibility!)

Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks
    Joan

What I do in similar circumstances is set a Blank screen saver to 2 mins (adjust to your usage patten) and set this to require a password. I find that sleep and hibernate are a little hit and miss for remote wake so disable them - I also have full remote Wake on lan /shutdown access so can switch the systems off if I am not due to use them for a long period

Barman you beaut! I am also wary of the sleep and hibernate modes as they tend to be glitchy and cause problems. The blank screen saver is just the ticket :) Its working a treat for me. Thanks again!
