    Screen never turns off...

I run build 6956 and I am impressed with new Windows...
Just one problem but big (also was on 6801 build) screen on mine hp 8510p notebook never goes dim or switch off, even when I define those times in >Display...

You need to change your power options. Go into control panel select all items then select power options. You will see that it is set never to go off and you have to manually change that.

Unfortunately that is not true- I have set turn off screen after 5 minute, both on battery and when charging...
It is some process which is always active and not allowing screen to power off, even to dim after 3mins (I also set that)...

Check and see if there is continued network activity, and if your NIC(s) are set to wake on LAN / wake the machine in your Device Drivers' properties page....

I have set that on mine desktop which is connected by wire and it works now...
Afternoon I will try on notebook wireless adapter..
Unfortunately, that not works on notebook with same setting- dont allow windows to wake up adapter (or something similar...)
It seems it is network, not ATI issue...

That is what I was suspecting. For some reason there is network activity.

Also, on the notebook, you *did* edit the setting for the *wireless* NIC and not the *wired* NIC, correct?

I have tried and still no result... May be some driver is missing- it is strange that nobody have that problem... More probably it is network issue- can somebody tell me how to set power parameters for both wired and wireless adapter.. I have home wireless router and using only wireless network, wired is always disconnected...

If you have any sort of P2P app running then you are always going to have network activity as you're always sharing files in the background....
