    Viewing .PPS files

I'm new to Windows 7 and don't want to get involved in registry changes, as I'm afraid to really screw up the system, so my easy way to view .PPS files is to forward them to my Windows XP system e-mail where they open easily by just clicking on them. Guess I'll be keeping my old computer.

PPTView is not Powerpoint. It is the Powerpoint viewer (can't edit presentations). If you don't have the full Powerpoint program, that explains the root of the problem.
It`s set to Powerpoint viewer and works. The download gave me the full Powerpoint program as far as i know, i can`t see where it would give anything else.
LOL, the PP Viewer is for viewing only. Try to make PP picture show or presentation with it yourself.

If you have a G-Mail account just send your .pps files to the Google Cloud and it will open them for you. Just sent some pix up there or wherever and it worked extremely well. It is sooo easy....Maybe too easy..........
