    deleting WINDOWS.0, Windows.old, and WINDOWS_old

I just installed Windows 7 and I thought it had reformatted my master drive, but it turns out I didn't? I think what was left from my original Installation was left in Windows.old, but there's also WINDOWS_old and WINDOWS.0. I'm not sure which is which honestly or how i should go about cleaning up my computer. I installed a fresh windows 7 installation with 2 GB of free space on a 40 Gb HDD

    This will help

    Windows.old Folder - Delete

Clean install is always best, you may want to think about that, before you begin using and downloading programs etc.

    Hello Tony,

You can right click on them and click on delete, or use Disk Cleanup as in the tutorial below to delete them.

    Windows.old Folder - Delete

    Hope this helps,

You may want to consider going back and doing a complete clean install. Those folders indicate that you may have done an upgrade, which in many cases leads to problems such as performance issues.
