My little doggie where is it? In XP home in search up came a Doggie, is this search all files and folders still available in Win 7, it's not for me, it's for one of my kids, the doggie that is, honest. | My System Specs |

It wasnt available in vista nor will be in Windows 7. Search is handled differently.

You can use the doggie in XP-Mode, but I doubt it's gonna work for your files & folders in Windows 7. It could work, but with a workaround.
I don't think that's the thing they want, when they say "they want their doggie back".

What was "the doggie".
I've still got an XP system but never seen "The doggie".
I suppose we can all learn something every day.

Now I've found it -- on my Windows XP system (SP3) you have to click the "Click here to use search companion" - then you get the "doggie" back again.
Actually once you get used to it the Windows 7 search is far better, quicker and actually more intuitive to use as well.
