Quick Launch Icons

I've been trying to get a "computer" shortcut icon to appear in the quick launch menu...

... no dice... any idea how?

I'm not talking about pinning it to the taskbar... I only want it in the quick launch menu.

Hallo Caithness, create a desktop shortcut & drag it into the Quick launch folder, the path is;

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Figured it out... for some reason I had to unlock the taskbar... right click on the quick launch menu and check show title and show text.... then drag it all the way over so that the "computer" icon dropped down, and then when I unchecked the show title and show text and then re locked the taskbar it stayed there...

... I'm starting to understand why so many people are still on XP.... the logic to some of this is ridiculous... scratch that, it isn't even logic... it's just broken.

Quick Launch Bar: icons don't wrap even though there is room
I created a quick launch bar for the taskbar. My taskbar is two rows high. When the icons reach the border it's supposed to wrap to the next row below it but it doesn't do this even though there is clearly enough room. I have to make my taskbar three rows high in order for it to wrap. Here are some...

Friday night I had quick launch icons. Saturday morning I didn't. I also can't open the START menu and select "pin to start menu" on anything anymore. There are arrows next to certain programs as well (such as Word) that USED TO show recent documents but those don't even open anymore. All that...

Lock Windows 7 Quick Launch icons
I am new to Windows 7. In XP and Vista, the QL icons would stay on the left side of the taskbar, while the open programs populated across the taskbar. Is there a way to keep this setup? I do not like the look of the "always combine" option, preferring to see everything open until the taskbar is...

Centering Quick Launch Icons
Windows 7 uses a taskbar that is a bit thicker than XP and Vista's default. As a result, we get this: http://i.imgur.com/7pMEx.png Anyone have any idea on how to centre the quick launch icons so they match the taskbar icons? So things look normal?
