Currently I've got HP 64, I dunno If the features would be worth it for me. But one thing I do like is that gpedit.msc is included in Professional and above.
Should I fork out $130 for the upgrade ?
And what would be the main difference between Professional and Ultimate ?

No one, but you can answer the question is it worth the money.
I will say that for most Home Premium is more than enough, except in special situations.
That should be the standard answer, considering how often this question is asked.
To the OP...think about it for a second. We don't know your budget (you could be a millionaire, or out of work). Anyone can google the differences between the versions, so you need to decide if it is worth it or not....not us.
If the group policy editor is the only different that matters to you, I can't see spending any money on that.
On a side note, if you tell us why you need the group policy editor, maybe we can suggest another way to change whatever it is you want to change.
From what I remember from Microsoft is that Pro and Ultimate are very similar except for the price tag...
Difference Between Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional & Ultimate Editions
It's up to you whether Professional would be better for you. Group Policy Editor is one small feature which made me decide Pro over HP. I also noticed that Professional installs faster than HP on my machines when done as clean installs. Keep in mind: Professional does not have any of those Microsoft games turned on if that matters to you.
The only advice I can give is stick with HP for now. If in the future you want to upgrade to Ultimate, then go out and get Professional...
Unless you need the ability to use the group policy editor, need to have Remote Desktop access to your computer, and/or need to connect to a domain, you don't really need 7 Professional, especially since you already have Home Premium.
And with Ultimate, adding to what Professional gave you, you get Aero over Remote Desktop, BranchCache, DirectConnect (VPN), BitLocker, AppLocker, and the access to the language packs for Windows 7. Usually I recommend people get Home Premium and if they want to be power users, Professional but apart from that, unless you want bragging right or just must have every feature, I rarely recommend Ultimate. But again, the decision is up to you and if you want to fork over the money.
Trust me ....ultimate is a waste of cash...i upgraded my hardware at a very high price to get ultimate, and it cant even run 2 NICs at the same time... waste of cash,
