    Win.7 taskbar trouble.


    Hi, my laptop is HP. and my taskbar worked fine for awhile but earlier today it turned a sold greyish/blue hue, and it seems to be changed to a somewhat classic view.. ive looked everywhere through my settings but can't find where it will even let me change it back .i got fed up and restored my laptop to a previous hour...it was fine for a little while..but now it is changed back,and really bugging me... anyone have any help?

    Would you see if you have Aero transparency enabled?

    start > control panel > personalization > then ... window color .

    Try this and see if it works.

    run a virus/malware check. Like XP, W7 allows you to customize.

    thanks, i go to that.. but this older window comes up , and doesnt let me change to regular window 7 colours or anything.. its still a classic version which wont let me change back to normal.

    ive ran a virus scan, and all scans i can with my norton program earlier, everything is fine...

    As told above
    Run an antivirus scan
    Download and run a scan with malwarebytes, you may be surprised.

    It is changing into classic for some reason. Have you installed a new program, changed something, or done anything different?

    Win 7 automatically changes to basic if an app needs it, if the graphics card is set to the wrong resolution etc.

    There are ways to force it not to but they may damage the computer

    so, re ran anti virus, ran malwarebytes, everything is basically fine.. i havent installed any programs, ive barely used my computer, only for msn and such. ive re checked through everything... but its still this way, and still doesnt let me change to regular settings.

    Follow Kens advice, and also check the graphic driver in the Device Manager, make sure it is up to date.
