    Folder icons messed up...Please help


    i have no idea what happened but all my folder icons are messed up even though ill change them through properties and customize and i applied but it just dosent work here is a pic of what going on if u didnt understand what i ment.....i forgot but it only does it with the normal folder icons others ones work like i can make it a recycle bin icon.....but no one wants that lol

    It seems that the first poster in this tutorial had the same problem and solved it with option two, method two: User Folders - Restore Default Icon

    The task seems like a long one. Did this happen recently? A system restore might be enough to fix it.

    Just for reference for others since this is an old thread.

    Downloading and merging the Folder option in the tutorial below should be able to restore the default associations and icon of the folders.

    Default File Type Associations - Restore

Hi all..... I installed IconPackager and changed a theme but not it is all MESSED up :( The .dll icons and from "vista run as admin" image below to explain....i opened IconPackager and restored to the default but some of the icons and messed up.. I uninstall IconP and it was still the same...
