    Microsoft has lost its way

I am having a Microsoft-created problem with my computer, see https://www.sevenforums.com/software...w-me-help.html for details. This issue is critical enough that I decided to try chatting with a Microsoft tech person today. I got to their site, logged in, and hit the chat button at 4:17 pm EST. The screen said 26 folks ahead of me, average wait time 20 minutes. I figured ‘no big deal’.

An hour later the screen indicated three folks ahead of me and the average wait time still showed 20 minutes. Another hour later, nothing had changed - so I left and went to dinner. I can only draw one conclusion – that Microsoft is now a totally worthless company run by people who only care about generating a profit.

Or, they are hiring support people who are incompetent. Working out of their Mom's basement, perhaps...

I figured that out years and years ago.

Windows 10 and 11 are fine examples of that on how they whore out the user for profit. Gone is the acronym PC. It simply doesn't exist anymore...

If you need tech support I would rather entrust this community here or another tech support open community.

Though, you do have to remember MS is not in the computer repair Biz. They will help fix an issue with the OS its self, or if you pay money their IIS (Internet Information Services) server line of crap.

I haven't used their professional support for desktops/laptops but I have for supporting enterprise server software. They where very professional people then however that was over a decade ago. I'm not sure how they are now. I only know how their biggest cash cows Windows and Office are and I don't like where they have gone with either of them.
