    Heap Leak Detection and Win7

I need some help with this. I found it in the registry as a key and within it are some programs that appear to have triggered some some sort of leak detection. However, I know of no program with windows 7 that allows you to view those applications reported in the registry (heapleakdetection). Now I tried to research this a bit more and the only interesting link I found was from HP called HPJMeter. Now it's great that HP has their own program but it was my thinking that windows 7 would actually have it's own. I didn't try using HPJMeter because it's clear that it's specific for HP based systems.

Now to make a long story short if there are programs causing a memory leak and windows 7 detects them it would be nice to know about it. I'm just not sure why there is no program within win7 that works similarly to HPJMeter though.

Can anyone elaborate or further explain this? Is there a program within Win7 that I'm not aware of? Or perhaps a 3rd party program?

    logicearth,

Thanks fo the link. If I understood this correctly Heap Leak Detection is more an automated process that sends leak detected program back to MS which then informs the developers?? Or as that just for win7 beta?
