Save to C drive from CD?

Sorry for the really bad first post.

I am an experienced XP user. I'm trying to help a Windows 7 user over the phone. I don't have Windows 7 so I'm having trouble helping this user. We are trying to copy/paste files from a CD to a folder on the C drive. But the user is unable to complete this task after hours on the phone. I'm frustrated. It's an easy task, but we can't get it.

    The user inserts the CD.
The user can browse to the CD and find the files, but there is no Edit menu, no way to Copy the files to the C drive.

Thanks for any info you can give me about how to copy files from a CD to the C drive.

Not having a CD available at the moment, does a right click and send to work?

Have they tried holding down the ctrl Key to select the numerous files & then ctrl c to copy them, then move to the folder on C drive then ctrl v to paste them in the folder ?

Right-click the file, hit copy. Go to the desired folder on C:. Right-click, click paste.

That method works fine for me, but people used to using the Edit menu don't always think of it.

Try adding Copy To service to the context menu - there is a reg file d/l on the tutorial:

Check the CD properties to make sure it's not set to "read only".

    A DATA Disc Im guessing?

If they want everything on that CD,
    Just open "My Computer" and

R/Click CD Drive and choose copy (Do not need to open, just the drive itself)

Then Right Click Paste at the location/folder u want the disc copied to.
