    Multitasking slow


    Hi,

    I've had Windows 7 since release and when i do any multitasking windows becomes very slow. For example, when i burn a DVD/CD or encode a video, everyhing else becomes very slow. Basically if i do any multitasking windows lags, i never had this problem with vista.

    Sytem spec:

    • i7 920 @ 3.8ghz(currently at stock settings)
    • 6gb DDR3 Tri-Channel PC3-12800
    • Asus rampage 2 extreme
    • ATi 5850 with 10.7 drivers
    • Creative X-Fi Platinum
    • Corsair TX 750W
    • Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB (windows drive)
    • Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB (media drive)

    Any help is much appreciated.

Hi. I replaced the hard drive in my laptop a couple of months ago, and every so often while running multiple programs, I get a BSOD. As badly as my last hard drive was failing, I didn't have this issue so I'm wondering what's going on.
Multitasking Issues

I installed 2 windows updates last night, one optional one important. Now it seems when I have mIRC 6.35 with NoNameScript 4.22 open and try to click firefox in my taskbar, Firefox will no longer pop up. I have to click the NNScript icon in the taskbar to minimize to be able to switch to Firefox....
I am d/l some files have plenty of RAM and HD space but when I go to do something it is very sluggish. Is there a way that I can improve this? If I stop d/l then it is fine. THX
