Windows 7 powered off computer for no reason!

im not sure what this means, but im shocked to learn that windows 7 just restarted my computer or crashed and i dont know why. can anyone help me? im using build 7077. and heres the stuff from event viewer relating to the restart:

    the main one:

    Log Name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
    Date: 5/21/2009 2:15:53 AM
    Event ID: 41

    </Event>

and then their are other weird messages:

    this message from Application section:

so can anyone tell me whats going on here? surely it didnt expire already? could it be a memory leak of some sort, i hope not.

    When did you install 7077?
Did you verify that it was Activated?
Did you install with a KEY or without a KEY?

its activated with beta keys and all. i edited my original post to include the "critical" message. actually now that i think about it, the logs that i written above are all useless since they talk about me shutting down the computer which i did after it crashed and restarted by itself. the only mention of the crash is this:

    Description:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

which means windows doesnt know why it crashed. there was no power loss that i know off and the computer was idle. anyway why would it restart if it was a power issue? it shouldve just shut down right?

Once this happened to me at a customers home.
Problems was constantly rebooting, (Vista) home premium.
when i went in to check, the screen was blank, no flashing lite jto indicate HD movement, I ask simply Is it OFF or in Sleep mode. Answer It dead, like always.
I sat down to moved items to fit me, the computer woke up and and seemed to be OK. I found the NIC Card was set to "allow the card to shutdown to save energy". Awake was set to "any key"

So If I had restarted the computer with on/off button, it probably would have shown the same problem...

Disabled Sleep, Hibersys and customer has not had the same problem again.

i got my power options on high performance and it never sleeps. is windows 7 known to crash like that or was it a power cut problem thats my dilemma. im not experienced in this but if a computer crashes does it restart or shut down completely?
