    i should have


    Done a clean install 9 months ago instead of upgrading from vista ..over the past week I've been getting windows applications have stopped responding and the pc froze all the time...now after the clean install my pc is running 100 times better

    That's what we are preaching all the time. Even an upgrade from Vista Basic to Vista Premium used to be a mess. MS apparently has not made much progress in the upgrade disaster procedures.

    Totally agree...that's why I always will do and always suggest others to do a clean install. Make sure you have everything you want to keep backed up then do a fresh clean install....no mess...no fuss.

    just used speed fan for the first time and the heat on my processer is 43 is that ok

    That would be great under average load and probably still OK at idle. You really only know if you measure under different load conditions.

    The best way to get a better feel for it is to run a CPU meter as gadget and run the temp measurement in the taskbar (e.g. Core Temp). Then you can constantly compare load and temp. You can always display your gadget on top of any page by pressing WIN+G. Else you can also tweak the old Vista taskbar into Win7. Then you see it all the time.
