Windows 7: Forgotten I had turned bitlocker on on my external hard drive

I recently sold my desktop online and purchased a laptop. I had forgotten that I had turned bitlocker on on my external hard drive. So when I hooked my laptop up to the external HD, it showed that it was locked. I never printed the key due to the fact that i did not have a printer at the time and because bitlocker prompted me to create a password, which I did copy down. My problem is this, I do not have the key and there is not a place to provide the password. Thanks for the help in advance!
