If you post your actual issue in the relevant forum here, I'm sure someone will be able to suggest suitable diagnostics software, either built in or third party, or even solve your issue directly.

there are a lot of tools available and it's important that you use the correct one.

Also if you complete your system specs in the user control panel here (UserCP) it will help us to help you

I believe Windows 7 includes a Windows Troubleshooting Platform that can guide you through some steps... but I really think you should explain what the actual issue is. Knowing that could dictate the troubleshooting steps other forum members could possibly provide. Cheers.

Yep sounds like a bug, run that Malwarebytes scan as well as a Virus scan.

    Hi clayp,
Please enter your system specs under the 'My System Specs' field (see left bottom corner) then click 'Update Your System Spec'. This way it will always be available and may prove useful and result in a speedier resolution. Cheers...

In addition, run one of the free bootable AV scans to make sure the infection is completely cleaned off the HD and any other attached drives. Many viruses are programmed to hide in running OS files so a boot scan gives them no place to hide since the OS is not running: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

Avast 5 has a built in Boot Scan for 32 bit Win7 and can stand guard beside MSE for double protection. I would at the least use one or the other.
