Windows 7: dividing windows up and down possible?

you know how there is a feature in Windows 7 by pressing the windows key and either left or right button you can assign the window to the left or right half of the screen.



Is is possible to assign program up and down since one of my screen in always in portrait mode.

Not sure if this is what you want but..
Right click the task bar and select show windows stacked.

No, there isn't a function built in to Windows for what you want. Top of screen maximizes. Bottom of screen does nothing.
