    Hibernate Windows 7 64-bit RC 7100 on dv3660ej laptop

    Hi all,

Just installed Windows 7 on dv3660ej laptop :

    (1) hibernation mode works kind of half way through. It does hibernate correctly but when coming up from hibernation, it notifies me that there were some issues and that the hibernation file was not written completely and allows me to either continue or delete the hibernation file.

    Hello Shalomv,

It looks like your hibernation file had just gotten corrupted somehow. Select the option to "Delete restoration data...." to continue booting normally instead of resuming from hibernation.

If this is the only time it happened, then I would not worry about it.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

From the reply at your other post here, it seems like it may be a bug. The hibernation mode works just fine on my Gateway laptop with Windows 7 though.

However, you might check to see if you have the latest F.13 BIOS version for your laptop from HP may address and help resolve the issue.

As a last ditch effort, you might see if disabling hibernation, then enabling it may toggle it to work for you by resetting the hibernation file. Also, double check your BIOS settings to make sure that something similar to ACPI S3 state is enabled.
