RAM 6.0 GB (1.95 GB Usable) WTF?!

What's this all about? Last time I checked system properties it said 5.5 GB usable. Now, today I noticed that my sidebar said that my memory is 40% in use and there's only 1.5 GB available. What's going on here? I was thinking it could be my video card taking the memory, but I didn't change any settings from last time, so it shouldn't have changed on it's own. This is my third Dell laptop in the last 3 months, each one broke for no reason what so ever.

Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.

Memory - Set Maximum Amount Used by Windows 7

1)Run
2)type "msconfig"
3)Go under the "boot" tab
4)click "advanced options" button
5)UNCHECK! "Maximum memory"
6)Reboot

Try that

Hey thanks...It worked...
But the strange thing is that I haven't touched the System Config in this install of Windows. But for whatever reason it was set to 4000 MB and boot on 4 cores. That's so strange...lol.

Anyway, thanks again man.
