I actually tried this but it didn't work. And I am admin on the system, but even though I checked Run as Admin. I chose Vista 64 as the compatiblity OS selection since Windows 7 is 64 bit too. Didn't work though. I never got an error message but never got a completion either, and I have no folder for the ocr program, Omnipage, in Program Files nor do I have anything in Start.
Can't figure it out.
Try to select XP SP2 for compatibility and see what happens.
Yes. Not for free. They want you to purchase the new version and it's too expensive for me. I still have a feeling there has got to be a way to install it.
My OCR needs are very minimal but I have a version of Abbyy Finereader that came with my Lexmark AIO printer that SEEMS to work pretty well with Windows 7 64 bit even with my Canon LIDE. They have a trial version and the Express version is $50 USD.
