Behaviour of Desktop Icons during Startup

Not a problem, just amateur curiosity. Towards the end of my laptop boot, all the shortcuts (not the system icons) go blank then are quickly restored. Why's that?

It's not an unusual occurrence, It's always happened on my PCs. I'd suspect the flash is just as a process loads in the boot sequence. Although it wouldn't seem likely that it was the graphics driver, as I'd think that would load fairly early on to allow video. It's more of a refresh of the desktop. Not something I've put a lot of thought into

yea, like the person above said i think its just a quick refresh maybe to go over to see if any of them are running or to end the processes? who knows..
not a big deal tho
