    Windows Fax and Scan


    I just completed a clean reinstall of Win 7 Pro.

    All fine except that despite copying all my old faxes back into:

    c: programdata - microsoft - windowsnt - msfax - sentitems

    the actual faxes do not show up in sent items when i actually run the Windows Fax and Scan utility. Only new faxes I send show up.

    Is there another file I should have also updated like an index of some sort?

    Help appreciated.

    From what I can find, this has been a problem since Vista and is not fixed yet. The work around/suggestion is to move them to another folder and view them with any TIF viewer, like Windows Photo Viewer.

I thought it was worth a try, but you can't choose the folders you want to use. Does this software offer anything useful?
