Today while using my PC I noticed that the windows search option no longer works. If I try and search for something it says 'No Items Match Your Search'. I've tried going into the contol panel and reseting to default but no luck. Has anyone else had similar issues? If so, how can I fix it?
I've even tried restoring all the folders i'm searching and still no luck. For instance if I open the music folder and search for DJ I get nothing although I have hundreds of folders starting with DJ.
I'm in the process of backing up all my media files which will take a few hours just incase I have to do a reinstall as I've searched the entire net I think and have tried everyting with no luck. I'm completely lost to be honest.

Yes, it is running in task manager. It used to find items yesterday but today it has decided to do it's own thing. I'm not sure how it is set-up. I let a friend use the PC for a while earlier not sure what he could have done.
