What are the types of the faults ? Actually that determines the appropriate thread to discuss . If you are not sure about the fault's nature , you may post it here ; if the mods thinks it is suitable to transfer to another one, they will do it .

    unusual faults

i came across a dead pc of a friends,on having a look with power turned on every thing was dead apart from a ticking noise, which i thought aha hdd up the spout.
so off came the cover but the ticking was coming from the back,
after listening carefully it was coming from the ram chip so took it out as it was filthy,
earthed myself to pc carefully cleaned said chip stuck it back in rebooted pc hey presto everything came back to life.so gave my friend a lecture about cleaning out his pc or call me.
