    Power Options don't work

About a week ago my power options don't work. I always have my display turn off after 1 hour and now it don't work and I can't even get a screen saver to work. I went to Balanced and power saver and put on 1 minute and it don't work. Same with my screen saver, however if I do a preview on the screen saver that works. Any ideas what might be the problems?

    We need more clues.
What has changed on your computer in the last week? New programs? Updates? New hardware?

You could see if you have a System Restore point dated more than one week ago, before the symptoms began, and try it. You might not want to do this if you did install new hardware, in which case there are additional steps you must do first.

Did you make any BIOS changes? If your Suspend Mode has changed that might explain it.

This may seem strange, but, do you ever shut your computer off? If no, then shut it down, disconnect the power, wait 60 seconds or so, then boot up fresh. You would not believe how many problems that fixes!

    Power Options don't work

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted this. My power options don't work. I traveled 3500 miles with my computers in the back of my Jeep and I can't remember what started it except when I put up two monitors and now I only have the one and still won't work. I have a E6550 Intel, 4 gigs of RAM, and it's about 3 years old with a 650 power supply. I figure I need to get off my butt and start trouble shooting this problem so any ideas would be helpful and if you want any more info, I'll just edit this post.
    Thanks
    Richard

I'd start by reseating every cable, stick of RAM and any internal cards inside the chassis and see if things get better.

W7 RC1 is no longer viable with the release of retail W7.
    Have you considered this?

Its unclear as to what you want help with. Sorry.

    Screen Saver

This is what happens when you have your screen saver set on a blank screen and don't know it.
