    Se7en Upgrade

I am successfully reporting an upgrade from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows Se7en Ultimate 32bit. Everything moved over flawlessly, except one item.

    My Windows Live OneCare AV

It says the service can't be started. I can going to try to reinstall, if not I will leave it open until a patch or update or something. Unless there is a way to trick OneCare.

I previously had Build 6801, I miss the Lighthouse Icon, but its cool. I like the Desktop Slideshow, I selected all the pics and they shift every 10 secs. Desktop preview finally works for me. I like the new start orb.

Everything upgraded good. MS Office still works. My DVD converter still works, Firefox even retained my XMas theme.

I was under the impression that Live OneCare was being terminated so there most likely won't be any support in 7 for it.

OneCare is being terminated? Wow. That sad, the only AV I ever really liked.

Also is just my desktop or all of my tray icons supposed to me monochrome?

They should be colour.... what theme do you have it set at?

No they are monochromed unless they are trying to get your attention I do believe.

And I have seen OneCare do something NASTY that Microsoft should be ashamed of. Just the other day I had another case of where someone's laptop using the paid version (legally) of OneCare and it had been silently stopping several Windows Updates for some unknown reason including Security updates. Of course she didn't figure this out until OneCare did an update and Windows scarted yelling at her about the lack of a firewall.

Why on earth would Microsoft have OneCare (their own product) (which does NOT include a firewall) disable the windows firewall? And with that it was uninstalled prior to her paid time even being finished and she is now up and flying with Kaspersky.

Shame on you Microsoft. OneCare was truly a bust.

I must be lucky. With my time spent on OneCare, I have yet to have a problem. Updates, and everything else work flawlessly. Then again, I only go to places I trust, and I don't do torrents.
