I want a control panel link on the desktop

    Specifically this one.

Is there a way? Or at least it's parent link?

Rightclick in URL box to "Copy address" then Paste Shortcut to desktop.

Is there a reason you're running Win2000 graphics? Rightclick desktop>Personalize to choose an Aero theme. You can even set up a cool background slideshow.

I just launch control panel from the start menu. Then I right click its icon on my taskbar and select pin this program to the taskbar.
