file won't go to recycle from desktop & error msg says it's not there?

Somehow a bunch of folders and files appeared on my desktop yesterday and I have no idea how they got there. Anyway...... all the folders are zips and all show the lock icon (the separate files look normal), although I can open them and the documents inside. I couldn't remove the locks but it seems OK as is.

But............. on of the folders is a .QBW file (type "nd") from Quickbooks and I know it's duplicated in another folder. When I try to send it to Recycle it will not go and when I try a right-click delete I get an error message saying it's not where it appears to be (on the desktop). I'm not all that tech savvy but it seems like this file will be on my desktop forever if I can't figure this out.

Sorry. What's stuck on my desktop is a file, not a folder. I was typing too fast and used the wrong word. It's a QuickBooks file and the extensions are QBW.nd.
