    Sudden freeze

after my computer boots and after sometime my laptop suddenly freezes for a minute and HDD light glows in that time.I just checked the HDD by chkdsk command and scheduled a check up..result showed volume is clean..No errors..how do I stop this freezing..(everything stops responding in that time)/

Have you made any changes to your system recently? You could try doing a system restore back to a point before your freezing began to see if that helps?

When you say 'freeze'... Is it freezing on the Windows Starting Animation, past that, when loading up the desktop or the welcome screen?

Does the drive light pulse a little or do you hear the hard drive 'working'?

Have you made any changes to your computer? Any updates? Or maybe plugged something into your computer for the first time recently?
