Scanning Software, please help

Hi,
I have a canon mx300 printer, but I cant seem to find some software to go with it. The canon MP Navigator software doesnt appear to be working on windows 7 x64.
I just need some software that will scan to pdf (multiple and single pages), email, save as image and any other fancy little features.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi,

Strange MP Navigator doesn't work, according to the driver/software page of your printer it should be compatible with Windows 7 x64: Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : PIXMA MX300 (You have to choose your operating system)

Did you try to update the firmware?

Another option might be to use a program called Scan2PDF: www.koma-code.de - Scan2PDF (Win 98/2000/XP/Vista/7)

Strange, if you push the scan button on the MX300 does it scan to your computer?

Did you try the scan2PDF software?

Scan2PDF is strange. The scan button does nothing. Funny though when I used 32bit it all was fine.

Is your scanner/printer correctly listed in devices and printers?

For scanning as image you can use Paint.

Thanks WHS, but not exactly Ideal.

Yes it is showing in printers and devices. I must say, I know my way around a computer, but this has me stumped.

Yeah it's strange, I use a Epson printer so it's different for me, but if you click on the printer icon in printers and devices do you get some options to scan or print, I can use all functions of my Epson through there.

Did you try the Canon Inkjet Printer Driver Add-On Module: Canon Inkjet Printer Driver Add-On Module

I can scan through there too, but this MP navigator does everything I need. I'm surprised there isn't a one size fits all solution.
